Successful Great Yorkshire Show for Hawlmark Classic Twilight

We had a great - Great Yorkshire Show with Hawlmark Classic Twilight. Twilight continued her winning streak by being awarded the Part Bred Cleveland Bay Championship on the first day of the Show and then followed this the next day with a win in the 2yr old Hunter Filly Class.

New Arrival - June 2010

Highpasture Hawlmark's new arrival 

After several days of nervous anticipation Highpasture Hawlmark produced a colt foal 10 days late on the 6th June just before midnight.  We were able to help with the delivery, but mother and son were soon fully operational.  We haven't chosen a name yet but are working along similar lines to the colt's full sister Hawlmark Classic Twilight.  The foal had his IGG blood test today (8th June) in line with our normal practice and we are delighted that his test was positive and he has a fit and healthy start to life.

Hawlmark Classic Twilight's Flying Start to Show Season 2010

Hawlmark Classic Twilight (Twiggie) started her show season in style with a win in the 2 year old Hunter Class at Hambleton Show.  This is the first time we have shown at Hambleton and we were really pleased with the result. 

 Twilight 3rd at Bramham Event Horse Breeding and Youngstock

Following on from our success at Hambleton we were back on the road with Hawlmark Classic Twilight attending the Event Horse Youngstock 2 year old class at Bramham International Horse Trial.  This was another new venue for us having only attended as spectators in the past.  The Classes were huge and were split into Male and Females but that still left around 16 horses in our class.  The judge asked each horse to trot out before initial placings were made,Twiggie was pulled in 5th at this stage.  Each horse then did an individual show before the final judging decision was made,Twiggie showed herself well and was moved up the line into 3rd place.
