Welcome to our Cleveland Bay website.

The Cleveland Bay Horse is England’s oldest breed of horse with a history that goes back beyond the time that records were kept.

Highpasture Cleveland Bays are the creation of Nigel and Sue Cowgill who are based near Ripon, North Yorkshire.

Spring/Summer 2009

Highpasture horses will soon be starting their show schedule for 2009 where we hope to repeat our success of 2008, when we secured the Wilk Keenleyside Salver (for the most successful Pure Breeder in Shows), the Peter Fothergill Memorial Salver (most successful youngstock at Royal/Great Yorkshire Show), the Pure Bred Championship and Best Brood Mare at Rydale Show and Champion and Reserve Champion at the Royal Show.

We have pure foals due very shortly and we would be happy to show you our horses by prior appointment.

HIGHPASTURE HORSES TAKE DOUBLE HONOURS - CHAMPION AND RESERVE AT THE ROYAL SHOW IN 2008  (See news section for more info)
